I reviewed Asus ZenFone5 previously here on this blog. I got to try Asus ZenFone2 from a friend. Asus ZenFone2 is the upgraded version when compared to the ZenFone5. This time Asus has put its best foot forward with the release of its ZenFone2. Premium Design: Asus hasn’t changed the appearance overall when compared to the previous versions like ZenFone5 but there are a few tweaks here and there that gives the device design a superb finish. The design is basic and not flashy. I love that Asus ZenFone2 becomes fun to grab with its color selection. The rear-mounted volume rocker is sn unique aspect of the design. The 5.5 inches IPS LCD @ 1920×1080 with Gorilla Glass 3 looks glorious as well and has the potential to lure in customers. The Thin edges are super sleek. This smartphone sports the same curved back, plastic body and metal chin, but with a brushed metallic finish.
Ultra Smooth Performance:
The ZenFone 2 ZE551ML comes with a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage priced at Rs 22,999 powered by the 64-bit 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor. It runs Zen UI that is built atop Android 5.0 Lollipop. There are many variants available. With these powerful specifications, the GPU you’re going to find in the ZenFone2 . The CPU doesn’t slouch. The responsiveness that I got as I swiped the phone was amazing. The performance is not sluggish at all and there are no lags. You can easily multi task without any storage issues. Gaming is where the specs really shine.
You have a OmniVision 5-megapixel front camera that takes 2560×1920 pictures as well as 1080P 30 FPS video. There is a13-megapixel rear camera with flash. To be honest, I was very much surprised to see the high quality output of photos I could get out of this phone considering its budget price and camera specs. You can capture great selfies too.

ZenFone2 features 9V / 2A QuickCharger with BoostMaster technology. The phone comes with 3000 mAh battery. The battery stays as long as I expected it to be. With Wi-Fi on, It stayed all day long and infact is my best buddy during travel. ZenFone 2 doesn’t get poor battery life wise. It charges quickly and has a respectable longevity. The phone also has a “smart saver” battery mode, which staggers push notifications. This feature is very useful.
Appealing Price Tag:
The ZenFone2’s remarkably low price, and its brand name make it a smart choice for anyone looking for a perfect mid range android device that won’t burn their pocket. ZenFone2 is affordably priced and packs in a lot of features and apps. In many ways, this phone is a total value for money. It stands toe to toe with many flagship brands and models including iPhone.
On the connectivity side, this device comes with dual SIM and dual standby. The slots are Micro SD. While one SIM supports 2G/3G and 4G, the other only supports 2G. You need not switch between two phones. You can use it single phone for your personal and professional needs.
