Michael Todd Kaolin Clay Detoxifying Facial Mask Review

Hey Everyone,

I have been trying out a couple of Michael Todd  face care products for about 45 days and I’m impressed by the fact that these products are made with certified organic ingredients. They contain no parabens and sulfates. They are free from synthetic fragrances  or artificial dyes.

I was lucky enough to try Michael Todd line. I got two products from the acne/oily skin regimen, which included the 3 in 1 cleanser and Kaolin Clay detoxifying facial mask.

My Take on the Product:

Michael Todd Kaolin Clay Detoxifying Facial Mask comes in MTTO’s signature packaging which is a deep purple colored plastic tube with lavender flip cap.

This mask is a combination of three types of clay namely Bentonite Clay, Montmorillonite (Red) Clay and Kaolin white clay. The mask has ash gray color with very faint pink tinge. The fragrance smells earthy and is strong. Sensitive noes wont like this smell. The smell is overpowering a times but it fades on application.

It does deep cleanse the face and leaves it brighter by removing dirt and impurities from the pores. The mask gives a tingling sensation on applying but after washing it off I dont get any redness or burning sensation. I have no irritation or breakouts after using this. Sensitive skin people have to be beware and do a patch test to see if its stings.

This mask requires some extra efforts to wash it off without leaving any residue. It is great for my oily/acne-prone skin! It feels very refreshing and my skin feels soft, smooth, and clean. The mask imparts a natural glow to the skin, The only downside is that it is kind of expensive but really worth the price tag.

I cant comment if this mask has done dramatic changes on my skin but it’s handy during summer months. It doesnt dry out my oily skin but I think dry skin needs to be followed up with a moisturiser after using this.

The mask has a creamy smooth texture. It is very easy to spread the mask on the face. The clay mask dries up very fast.

There is a complete skin care regimen available with Michael Todd for all skin types and you can choose your line. I love their soniccare devices. I did not feel any burning sensation though I did feel a really minor stinging. Maybe this one is the new formula.

I’m using it for about more than a month now and it really is one of my favourites. It is a cruelty free too. This mask is highly recommended for Oily, combination and acne-prone skin types. It is great for travelling. I am planning to try more from this range and would definitely recommend trying out this line. I am eager to try the sonic clear brushes.
