DIY KURTI

GUEST POST #2 BY VANDANA CHOUDARY!!
Hello friends,
How are you?
This is vandana choudhary from New Delhi.I am 24 years old and I love writing, reading, shopping and doing the things which are creative. So here is my creative post for all the creative gals out there.I hope you like it.
Today I am going to tell you all how you can bring an old or new dupatta into better use if you are not using it.As we all know that when we buy a suit then we dont like carrying dupatta with us because nowadays the place of dupattas is taken by stylish stoles, scarfs, etc. So what to do with the new and unused dupattas?
Here we go,I have an interesting thing to do with these dupattas and I guess you all would love to do the same with your beautiful dupattas.
What we can do is we can use those unused dupattas by converting them into kurtis….yes kurtis or dresses whichever you like.Isn’t it amazing idea and useful too.
So first we  need to do is search our wardobe for such dupattas which are not so thin and not translucent.
Second thing is we can take it to the boutique and ask the person to stitch a kurti of our size out of that piece of dupatta. You can ask him/her to style it according to you, like how much length you want, long or short, sleeve size.If you want then you can ask him to add some designs and patterns like collars, etc.
In this way you can easily get a new dress or kurti and in very less amount. You will have to pay only the stitching charges.I tried this because I dont like carrying dupatta all the time, I thought of this idea and converted one of my dupatta into an awesome kurti.Everybody liked it and even nobody could make out that It was made of dupatta.
Tip:If the dupatta is translucent and very thin then you can ask the tailor to add lining in it.You can also wear it with slip.
I wish you all like this DIY.Have you ever tried something like this with your dresses?Do leave your comments.
Thank you for reading it
xoxo
