Garnet is a maroon stone which is the birthstone for January. Its name is derived from the term ‘Gernet’ meaning Dark Red. It is also known as 2nd anniversary gem. Garnet represents purity, truth and faithfulness and can cure depression,  nightmares and some diseases. Garnets are abrasives.


Amethyst is a deep purple colored stone which is a symbol of royalty and nobility. An Amethyst represents clarity, courage and the strength of relations. The stone got its name  from the Greek term “Amethystos”,  meaning “not drunken”. The stone is powerful to prevent intoxication and ward off drunkness. It is a quartz variety and semiprecious in nature today.


Aquamarine is a clear, transparent gem in a classic or creative cut. It has a modern design and can be refined in many ways. Aquamarine has blue sea water shade reflection. The meaning of the name is “waters of the sea”. Aquamarine stands for faithfulness, courage and friendship. It is known by another name – sailor’s gem because it protects from storms and ensures a safe journey across the sea.


Diamonds need no introduction at all. Diamonds are girl’s best friend. They represent forever love, courage and inner strength which is the reason why they are used for weddings,engagements and promise ceremonies. The name is derived from the Greek word “Adamas” which means “unconquerable”. Peridot is an ancient stone. This stone represents strength, power and influence. Peridot has magical powers and healing properties.


Sapphire signifies purity, wisdom and foresight. It has powerful rays that can kill poisonous substances. Sapphires are pink, purple, green, orange, yellow or red, but a royal blue is the most popular one.

Pink Tourmaline:

This stone is soft and represents hope, peace and clarity. It can induce sleep.  Tourmaline is multi coloured like a rainbow. They can change colour when light falls on them. It suits any mood and is the gemstone of love and friendship.
