09 Jun 2018 Bamboo Toothbrush ft Bamboo India !
Hello Girly Gang,
It’s easy not to see bamboo stuff these days because our lifes are dominated by plastic. The plastic reduction is challenging and has become the need of the hour. To help those who want to make the shift to a plastic-free lifestyle, Bamboo India, a venture of Yogesh Shinde, has come up with eco-friendly alternatives. Their company is based in Pune and they manufacture products like toothbrushes, speakers, clothing pegs, desk organizers, utility stands and sky lanterns.
Bamboo India uses biodegradable packaging. They sent me two toothbrushes and few straws for creating awareness about the plastic epidemic. The first one is Bamboo Toothbrush – Charcoal priced at Rs 130 and the other orange one is Bamboo Toothbrush – standard priced at Rs 120. In India, plastic toothbrushes seems to be the second largest plastic waste generated after plastic bags. The advantage is that the bristles are BPA-free, Compostable and gives a natural sleek look. Charcoal has a naturally porous formation with antimicrobial properties and hence helps to clean your teeth more effectively. The activated charcoal in the bristles of the brush absorbs the tannins that cause stains and also reduces bad odor. The standard bamboo brush also has a quality finish and good service life. The bristles are made from either Nylon4 or bamboo/corn fiber. The handle is made of an environmentally sustainable timber. The toothbrush is available in a variety of shades.
Eco-friendliness apart, I find the Bamboo toothbrushes cool !!
I also received a few Bamboo stem printed straws. Usually, they are sold as a Box of 15 straws. Each straw measure 7.75-inches. These are great for parties or everyday use. The box is priced at Rs 110. These straws are a great alternative to plastic. They are eco-friendly and inexpensive too. I think these bamboo straws can be reused.
Go plastic-free in your choice of products! Switching to a bamboo toothbrush may appear like a tiny change, but in fact, all of us could make a big difference to the planet. Try Bamboo India, a manufacturer of bamboo products to source your bamboo needs.
