Staying in shape is every girl’s dream. There’s nothing better than dragging yourselves out of bed and starting your day with workout. Fitness routines are really fun when you put your heart to it and enjoy the workout. Whether you are heading to jog, hitting the gym or prepping for a yoga or exercise at home, you always need to have some basic essentials in hand. While the options available are plentiful, the following are my personal recommendations for basic fitness necessities that won’t create a hole in your wallet. With a few well-chosen fitness essentials, you can easily create an effective exercise routine at your home or gym.
You can start with a few basics, and as you get more comfortable with your workout and fitness routine, you can add more staples to your stash. Struggling to kick-start your fitness routine? Working out will become more pleasant when you choose what to use.
Asus Zenfone 5 – Bring your smart phone/ iPod and a pair of headphones. I can’t stay away from my Asus Zenfone 5 during my fitness routine because I love listening to music tracks in #MyAsusZenfone and it will make the time go by much faster and make my workout much more enjoyable. The Asus Zenfone 5 is packed with entertainment. Workout playlists are motivating. Though everyone may not like to admit it, it’s true that we all need some Coldplay beats to get us through our run. I never forget my headphones too.
I also have an iPod with my favourite workout playlists which I carry for jogging. For everything else, I prefer my Asus Zenfone 5. You can ask me why it can’t be iPhone or some other smartphone. Asus Zenfone 5 is the budget friendly phone ever and incase I drop it and break it accidently, it will not let my heart break. I know how it feels because my friend broke her iPhone 6 just before a few days while hitting the gym. You can purchase it for Just 9,999 INR from Flipkart.
I also watch fitness related videos like ‘Walk with Lesley Sansone’ on my Asus Zenfone 5. I also use apps like water your body and other fitness related apps to keep a track. I also use the planner and stop watch and timer in my Asus ZenFone 5. I keep notes of my diet and weight in my mobile.
ZenFone 5’s display applies Corning Native Damage Resistance technology to enhance surface densification and decrease chances of lateral cracking and scratches. ASUS Zenfone uses Sonic Master technology with audio optimization which is a combination of superior hardware and software – uncompromisingly designed to deliver the ultimate sound experience.
Water Bottle – Hydrating is a must when you are working out and sweating. I am pretty much obsessed with this water bag gifted to me by ixigo. This water bottle is really useful. It has decent capacity and keeps my water cool. I can clip it to my trousers when I run. I can flip it and sip it. It’s durable and spill-proof. It is light weighted and easy to carry. The integrated loop handle makes it easy to clip or carry around the gym. The water bag is my perfect workout buddy.
Snack Bars – Food is our fuel. Working out makes you hungry and drained off. I love Rite Bite bars as they are delicious and good for the body. I always need some healthy snacks to boost me to run that extra mile. You don’t have to grab snickers.
Towel – Sweating at the gym is a great thing and of course the more you sweat the better. You can carry awesome and motivating gym towels for your cleaning efforts.
Deo – Because you will smell like a lady and not stinky.
Workout pants or leggings –It is important to have a tidy pair of workout leggings and a nice top or jacket with you at all times. Nothing screams “work it out baby” like a tight pair of stretch pants.
Gym Bag – An essential gym bag, with side pocket and compartments for everything is required. I wear the workout dress and shoes from my home itself. So I need only a small sporty sling bag to carry everything else. This Wildcraft bag comes handy for me. A gym bag is inevitable. My bag must have storage compartments and of course, it is durable and easy to carry. It is also washable. You need a bigger bag if you carry more things.
Hair Band – I hate the hair falling on to my face when I exercise. Whether you are tying your hair up into a pony before the gym, or brushing out the tangles after post workout, hair ties are always a good thing to have.
Workout Shoes – White pair of shoes from Fila is my go-to workout shoes! They are lightweight, breathable, simply cute, and comfortable. I will never compromise on wearing the right pair of kicks.
Socks – Because working out without socks is uncomfortable for me.
Band-Aids – To cover if you get any blisters or if you get hurt.
Pink Wrist Weights – Your weights can be fashionable just like you too.
Sports Bra – Tight and bright. Make sure you always have one in your gym bag. Better safe to keep yourself away from getting eyed.
I also use Yoga Mat, Rope, Detox drinks and steps at times.
Grab your essentials and get moving!
