30 Jul Essence Cosmetics the lash curler – volume and curl mascara Review!
I so LOVE mascaras and the way they can transform my lashes and the whole look of my eye and makes it look bigger. For the very same reason, I am always on the lookout for mascaras that would lengthen and add volume to my lashes. I’ve got a lot of them stashed up in my vanity.
Among the many unique releases from the Essence cosmetics is The Lash Curler mascara which claims to curl the lashes and add maximum volume with its innovative, twist cap packaging. I was wondering if it does work. Read my review to know if this is twisty mascara that curls eyelashes.
Crazy curl! The lash curler is a new mascara innovation and has a manually rotating brush. Unique on the market, the brush can be twisted manually as needed – sometimes more and sometimes less – while you apply your mascara to create extraordinary curl and volume. Since the curl mascara is twisted by hand, it doesn’t require batteries. An absolute eye-catcher that’s fun, too! Ophthalmologist tested.

My Take on the Product:
The packaging is super cute and totally won me. I’m a sucker for girly stuff like this. It comes in a black tube with an innovative red twist cap packaging. The Mascara wand is okay and not too good. It is not tapered and instead it is uniform size from one side to the other with a flat end. The mascara will build up. I have to scrap it off in the tube to get rid of the excess. The twisting brush made the process a little longer and difficult to open the tube as well. The application is not so easy but not impossible. The wand is simple straight with bristles surrounding it.
To use it, all we need is to put the mascara wand with the formula on the lashes and twist the top manually which makes the brush rotate to curl the eyelashes. The cap has 2 parts and we need to rotate one of them. At first I struggled to do the method right and could not get the hang of it. It was a mess. Then I got used to it.
The formula is very wet and thin. It just coated my lashes and the results were not mazing as expected. The mascara doesn’t clump or flake on my lashes. It acted like a base for the next mascara well. It applies neatly. Also, the mascara barely curls and holds the lashes in place. Maybe it’s just for me or I didn’t use it right. It doesn’t work for me. I’d buy this if I want mascara that works okay and is cheap. The mascara is affordable but there are better ones out there. I can see some effect only when I apply 3 coats.
The mascara is still a part of my favourites because of the fancy packaging. The mascara is not a terrible one as it does the basic job. Buy it if you want a black mascara that does the job. I wouldn’t recommend you to buy it if you want something special. It’s just an average regular mascara to me.
If you already have thick, luscious eye lashes that only need a bit of definition, you can go for this mascara. If you have thin short lashes this mascara could not be the one for you. The curling and lengthening effect is minimal. This mascara is best suited for teens and school/college going students. I already have natural looking not so thin lashes and hence I can apply it when I go to office. This has become my daily use mascara. It is preferred by me for simple natural minimal makeup look.
