07 Jan Omved Cinnamon Lip Balm Review
The latest addition to it is Omved Cinnamon Lip Balm and this is the first natural lip balm I am trying
and that too in cinnamon flavor.Don’t worry will show my lip balm collection very soon.Needless to say since its winter season and my lips get dry very soon and thereby I have a reason for the lip balm mania.
Enough of my blabbering, let’s move on to the review.
Omved was created under a simple yet powerful conviction: To live and let live in complete consciousness.

Hydrate and protect lips naturally with this nourishing 100% natural lip balm. This healing balm is loaded with 5 pure oils that are rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, to nourish, condition and soften lips.
Remember that you are absorbing or swallowing at least 60 percent of the chemicals and non-natural oils you slather on your lips all day long. Furthermore, petroleum products in your non-natural lip balm actually dry your lips (ever wonder why you need to reapply constantly?).
At Omved, we decided to create a 100% natural lip balms with a unique base of five skin-nourishing oils and butters to heal, repair and moisturise your lips.
Directions to use: Apply balm liberally to your lips as often as needed, particularly in dry, cold or windy conditions. Your best companion, take this lip balm anywhere and use it as often as you like.
Butters of Kokum (Garcinia indica) and Shea (Butyrospermum parkii) with oils of Sweet Almond (Prunus amygdalus), Macadamia (Macadamia integrifolia) and Sunflower (Helianthus annuus) therapeutic-grade pure essential oil of Cinnamon(Cinnamomum zeylanicum) blended in a pure skin and Earth-friendly natural base with Ascrobyl Palmitate ( Anti-oxidant).
* Kokum Butter, one of nature’s richest emollients, soothes and moisturises dry lips and seals in hydration.
* Shea Butter lends extra moisturising and nourishing feast to the lips
* Macadamia, Sunflower and Sweet Almond form a nourishing and hydrating base while protecting from the sun.
* Cinnamon oil energises.
My Take on the Product:
The product comes in a small tin packaging which has a shelf life of 15 months. The tin is made of aluminium and it might cut the hands if it hits. The cap is not tight enough. So there are chances of leakage if it melts when you carry. The packaging is normal but cute. There is nothing fancy about the packaging but it is biodegradable. Its green packaging and doesn’t contain any plastic and is Eco friendly.Since the tin is small its travel friendly. You can keep it in your purse, handbag or dress pocket.
The product is a pale yellow color in tub but it becomes transparent when we transfer the product to hand/lips.
The quantity of the product is more and the product comes a long way.Its long lasting. You just need a little amount per use.
This lip balm is very very thin than other ones and has the consistency of semi melted ghee. The texture is little hard. The lip balm melts on your fingers while applying. You have to apply a very thin layer of this.It has a mild smell which is negligible. The smell doesn’t linger around.
It does not provide a strong moisturization. It is little nourishing in nature.Ingredients present in this lip balm are real good.It does keep your lips hydrated but the staying power is little less. You can reapply this every one since its 100% safe and free from chemicals.
- 100% natural. No synthetic agents. No parabens, sulfates, silicones, petrochemicals, glycols, phthalates, synthetic colours or perfumes.
- 100% pure therapeutic essential oils, blended in cold-pressed plant oils.
- Contains only herbal actives – pure botanical extracts in a natural skin and Earth-friendly base.
- 100% biodegradable formula and easily recyclable cute convinient packaging.
- Can be used as a lip stick base
- Thin formula and can be reapplied any number of times since its safe.
- Non Sticky
- The lid is not tight
- No SPF.But Macadamia ingredient protects from sun tough.
- Non Tinted
- Finger application from tin is unhygienic. But you can sanitize your hands and then use.
- Does not provide strong moisturisation
- I find it little expensive for a lip balm but considering the ingredients I guess its okay.
Recommendation: If you are allergetic to harsh chemicals do try this safe and natural lip balm and I am sure you are gonna love it.
Final Word: It’s a decent lip balm and does the job of a lip balm well.I use this under my lip stick and it works well.If you want heavy moisturization during winters you can get another lip balm to substitute this. Its non sticky and hydrates decently.I like it.
