Hi All,
Argh.. Its gonna be Monday again. I had a busy time and I hope your week gets off to a great start. I am back to work and have to wake up very early until next sunday. I’ve very little time to spare due to my day job but I don’t want to neglect my blog (again!).
All of you are aware of the Oriflame The One Range Launch right? I read a lot of reviews about products from The One range  after their initial release. I also got the opportunity to try the entire The One range.
I’ve been searching for the perfect concealer for a while now to hide the tired eyes from lack of sleep and to hide the acne blemishes. Turns out, it is a simple task. I decided to try the Oriflame The One Illuskin Concealer which is available in three shades – Fair Light, Nude Pink and Nude Beige with Halo Light Technology.

My Take on the Product:

The product comes in a purple carton and inside you will find a plastic tube with purple cap.  The body is transparent and lets you see the shade and quantity left. There is a purple band. The concealer is a part of everyday range. It is a sleek squeeze tube. The tube dispenses the right amount of product through the nozzle. The pointed tip makes application easy. The packaging is compact, travel friendly and hygienic.
The product is available in 3 shades. The formula is light weighted and non greasy like the foundation. The consistency is creamy. This concealer also works on the Halo Light technology. It is oil free and keeps the area moisturized. It is non drying and not cakey at all.
It spreads easily and absorbs well. It hides light to medium scars well. It also hides minor imperfections and blemishes. It is great to hide your acne but it is less effective on big dark scars. It is good to go for daily use. It didn’t give me any breakouts.
It stayed on my oily skin upto 4 hours intact. The coverage you get is medium but it is buildable. You can build the covering by adding an extra layer. This concealer blends well with the Illuskin foundation and you can touch it with compact to give your face a smooth finish.
The shades are suitable for fair skin. It conceals the darkness around the eyes including under eye area well and keeps the area moisturized.
It makes the makeup to stay longer and acts a good base too. It covers redness, minor pigmentation, tiny spots and pimples. It does a fairly good job in correcting the imperfections.
Pros:
  • Pointed tip for precision
  • Good Packaging
  • Transparent body
  • 3 Shades to choose from
  • Didn’t breakout
  • Hides imperfections like spots, redness and pigmentation
  • Blends easily
  • Spreads and absorbs quickly
  • Decent staying power
  • Multi purpose – acts as a base, highlighter and under eye corrector
  • Imparts a glow due to HLT
  • Light to Medium buildable coverage
  • Creamy consistency
  • Oil free non heavy formula

Cons:
  • Little expensive for the quantity
  • Shade range is limited and not suitable for dark skin
  • Contains Parabens
  • Doesn’t hide dark major scars
  • Requires setting up with a powder
  • Product buildup on the nozzle and you have to clean it often
Overall Thoughts:

This concealer wont accentuate the little lines or dry spots. It stays in place intact. The color is ideal for me as I have fair tone. The difference it makes isn’t dramatic but it is definitely noticeable and I find myself reaching for it every day. Of-course I can find better concealers in the market with less price tag but I am happy with this one for the formula. I will continue using it as it is light and oil free. I rate it 4/5.
