Product Claim:

In our questto create a soap with that royal touch, we searched far & wide to find the most regal ingredients. We collected Madhu(Honey) from farms in Doddabellapur, and combined it with Vatada (Almond Oil) gathered from the hills of Kashmir. With the addition of Eranda (Castor Oil) and Glycerine, this soap becomes the answer to a number of skin woes. If that wasn’t enough, we also tossed in a small portion of a beehive to keep this exquisite bar ‘royal’in every respect. Try it out for yourself, and fall in love with the person in the mirror.

My take on the product:

The product came in a white cover with the SaND labels. There are no ingredients or other details mentioned in the sample pack. The product was moist when it reached me. I wonder if it was due to the humid climate. Now it is monsoon times and when I am using this soap, it acts normal and gets consumed according to the way you handle and use it.
Tough it is a sample, the quantity I got is generous enough to test it. It does last for 10 to 15+ uses if you store it in a dry place. The soap doesn’t get consumed quickly if you store it properly. The soap is brown in shade like honey and is translucent. It is adorable with the embedded honey comb inside which are hexagonal structures of bee hive. The soaps smells of wild honey.
The fragrance is subtle. The soap looks sticky in the package but it is okay once you start using it.The soap lathers very mildly. Maybe because it is free from SLS. The soap is gentle on skin. It doesnt make skin greasy, doesnt feel slippery and doesnt leave a residue. It is hydrating and not drying. It retains the moisture.
My face is oily but my skin is extremely dry during cold climate and it itches if I use soap. I didn’t experience any itching after using this soap.
The cleansing effect of the soap is good and it instantly refreshes and energizes me.I love this soap more than I love honey.
Pros:
  • Very cute soap
  • Smells nice
  • Moisturizing
  • Gentle
  • Not drying and Non greasy
  • No slippery feel
  • The soaps have funky names
  • Natural Ingredients
  • Free from SLS and harsh chemicals
  • Suits all skin types

Cons:
  • Sticky initially
  • Might melt easily in hot weather
  • Packaging could have been better but this is only a sample pack and I guess the full size ones will be attractively packed.

Rating: 4.8/5
Recommendation: Suits all skin types. You must check it out if you like honey and natural handcrafted soaps. It is a pure luxury treat to dive into your shower enriched with the goodness of honey.  I think its best suited for dry skin as it is hydrating. It will suit sensitive skin as it is gentle and non allergetic. It suits oily skin too as it is non greasy. You will love it for sure.
Final Word: I ended up really liking this soap. After I rinse it off my skin feels clean without feeling totally stripped of moisture. I love the natural ingredients combo used in this preparation.
A new website of SaND is coming up in few weeks and meanwhile you can tweet to them on Twitter.
Watch out for the reviews of other two soaps.
