Wish you an amazing new year 2015. Its good bye to 2014 and welcome 2015. I hope this year brings loads of happiness and luck our way.
Exfoliation is an important step in your beauty routine. I use facial scrubs, peels and ubton/skin polisher. These brighten skin by removing dead skin cells. I always follow up with a moisturizer after exfoliation. I use a body ubton once in a week or once in two weeks.
A good scrub can be created from ingredients found in the kitchen like sugar. I am using Vedantika Herbals Ayurvedic Body Ubton since last month which I am reviewing today.
Ayurveda uses herbal powders to clean and exfoliate skin on a daily basis, to clear dirt toxins and pollutants, without stripping the moisture content . 100 % Natural without any synthetic color, Flavor or preservatives.
Vedantika Herbals Ayurvedic Body Ubton – A time-tasted formula made with grams floor turmeric, sandal wood powder, precious Herbs , Nuts & pulses. It helps to minimize scars, black heads, patches and blemishes. In India it is a ritual to apply this pack before marriage ceremony. It provides a natural radiant glow.
Product Ingredients: Cicer arietinum (gram flour), Lens esculenta (red lentils), Sesamum indicum (Snehaphala), Prunus Amygdalus (sweet Almonds), Curcuma Aromatica(Amba haldi), Azadirachta indica (Neem), Santalum album (sandal wood ), Rosa Centifolia (rose petals), Citrus Aurantium (orange peel).
Application: Make a paste by soaking required amount of Ubton in milk for 10 minutes. Gently rub on clean and wet parts of the body for 5-10 minutes in circular movement. Wash off with normal water.
Price: Rs 150 for 210 g and shelf life is 14 months
The ubton comes in a transparent plastic bottle with aluminium cap like other vedantika products. I like the packaging because even though it is not fancy, it is sturdy and serves the purpose. The body ubton bottle is the biggest of all.
The ubton is in a powder form. I mix it with milk or rose water. It has a yellowish tint on mixing like turmeric. It has a strong smell of camphor which fades away quickly.
I love this body ubton because it’s gentle enough and not too harsh, leaves skin feeling polished and thoroughly cleansed, without stripping out the skin. It has smoothened my skin and made it soft. I love the glow it gives.
This ubton also contains camphor and the texture is gritty with very fine granules. It spreads well upon application to wet skin. You get instant results from this like velvety, brightened, even toned skin. When using a scrub I always remember to use a SPF lotion to avoid tanning.
The benefits are many like body acne is in control, dry skin and flakes come off easily, gives a buff effect, skin is smooth and glowing etc There tiny micro beads/crystals in the ubton that ‘buff’ your skin while giving it a deep clean. Very nice but I use it occasionally.

I wont recommend you to use this daily but you can have a self pampering session using this ubton once in a while. It gives that spa kind of feel and is relaxing. You can buff your elbows and knees to get rid of dry patches too. A bottle will last you long and the price is so affordable. It is so handy in winters and saves my time and effort.
