Vivo is one of the renowned global smartphone brands. They have been pushing many budget devices in the affordable smartphone segment. Vivo had recently launched its model Y66 in India.
Y66 smartphone is a great choice priced at Rs 15,990/. Model – Vivo 1609
Y66 comes packed with some exciting features like 2.5D curved glass, metallic radiance back cover, slim unibody design, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, 3000mAh (non-

Vivo Y66 interface is inspired by Apple IOS. Y66’s plastic body makes it lightweight and sleek. Vivo Y66 doesnt feel too bulky to handle despite its big screen.
Vivo Y66 is pre-applied with a plastic protector on the display. Vivo also offers a clear case in the box to keep the back scratch-free. The contents of the box include a basic headset with mic, a SIM ejector tool, a charger rated at 5V 1A, and a USB cable.
The design is attractive though it looks somewhat repititive. The left side holds the sim tray. The volume and power buttons are positioned to the right for ease of use. The bottom part consists ofMicro-USB port, a speaker grille, a 3.5mm audio socket, and a microphone. There is equally large spacing on the top. The single speaker is loud and clear enough to enjoy songs, videos and games on the mobile.
I found that the performance of Vivo Y66 has been optimum as my daily phone for day to day activities. Its IPS panel is bright and vibrant . What surprised me the most is the camera module on the Vivo Y66. The front part is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera while the rear part has a 13-megapixel camera. The shade featured here is ‘ Crown Gold’. There is a ‘Matte Black’ version available too.
Vivo Y66 smartphone sports a Moonlight Glow flash on the front camera to shoot better selfies in low light conditions. The camera has a beautify mode that edits and smoothens skin. The photographs came out pretty well with minimum noise.
Y66 gives a long lasting battery output. Multi-tasking is easy with ‘Smart Screen-Split’ feature. It also offers an “Eye Protection Mode.”
Vivo has also added some useful gesture shortcuts to the Y66. It has OTG, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity enabled. Vivo Y66 customers also get Saavn’s premium music service for audio entertaintment.
Vivo Y66 lacks a fingerprint sensor, metal body, NPS, USB Type C fast charger, Full HD.
Vivo Y66 fits right for lifestyle users with its stylish yet derivative design, front camera with LED flash, 4G support, and a good battery backup. Vivo Y66 is a perfect budget smart phone that is selfie centric as well. The performance is above average with no lags.
One thing that I appreciate about Vivo is that they sell widely through retail stores across India and not just online. They also have many authorized service centers. The offline availability is awesome.
Vivo was the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League and also launched an IPL edition of its V5 smartphone in India.
