I going through some difficult days of my life and I am feeling so sick and moody. I thought of sharing some mini review today. Preparation for the exams continues side by side.
While going through my stash a few days back, I saw this Wet ‘n’ Wild Vanity Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette. I had got this from a recent blog sale and thought of reviewing it today.
All Palettes provide all-day color that is crease resistant. Comes with 3 matte & 3 highly-pigmented effect shades that are sure to please the makeup minimalist and enthusiast alike.
Each complementary shade in this eye shadow palette can be mixed-and-matched for a variety of day-to-night looks. These palettes of 3 matte and 3 highly-pigmented effect shades are sure to please minimalist and enthusiast alike! All-day crease resistant color.
Wet ‘n’ Wild Vanity Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette in C 249 Vanity Vanite contains 6 eyeshadows.Three of them are lovely mattes and three of them are frost shiny shades. The frost shades are “effect shades”.
Vanity Vanite is a mix of warm shades of brown and gold with yellow undertones. It makes a perfect neutral palette.
The three matte finished shades are beige, tan brown, dark coffee brown. The three shiny shades are whitish silvery gold, yellow gold, and bronze.
The beige and whitish gold are sheer and disappears quickly without using a primer. The shadows are not at chalky. Their pigmentation and color payoff is decent. The shades and their combinations are very pretty.
There is an applicator sponge and one brush provided with the palette but they aren’t top quality. They are decent but not good enough to blend the shadows well. You might want to use your own brushes instead. The shades are easy to apply and good to work with. The staying power is decent and they don’t crease even without a primer for a few hours.
The matte shadows are easy to apply with the sponge applicator.
The shadows are housed in the traditional wet n wild packaging. It comes in a plastic black palette with a transparent lid and there is a label at the back which you need to peel to see the instructions. The palette shuts tightly. The palette is compactly sized and looks pretty. There is no mirror and it is not travel friendly.
The transparent lid gets subjected to wear and tear easily and becomes scratchy.
If you are someone who likes earth tones and warm neutrals, you will love this palette. It is very inexpensive and the quality is great for the price. The only con is that it is not available in India.
I heard that the WnW shadows are dupes for Mac and I even read somewhere that these palettes have been discontinued. If you have any friends or relatives in USA, ask them to get you this.
Anyways, Hope you enjoyed the pics and swatches.
