03 Apr Buddhibox Yoga & Lifestyle Subscription Box February 2015 Review !
BuddhiBox seeks to offer monthly mindfulness by delivering an array of products to enhance yoga practice, healthy living, and a mindful existence. You will receive a mix of everything ranging from a few handmade pieces of jewelry, organic beauty products or food items, yoga accessories and candles made by the local artisans. It is basically a subscription box that sends goodies to enhance your yoga practice and lifestyle. Each month you will receive 4-6 items that nourish mind, body, and soul.
Cost: $30.95/month, $27.95/month (6 Months), $25.95/month (12 months), and $11.95/month for Mini Box. Ships to US, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada for $3.99.
Here is what I received in the February Buddhibox:
The goodies came in a light weighted paper cardboard box and everything was wrapped in a green tissue paper. The packaging has a calming and energizing effect. The items were safe and intact. Buddhibox doesn’t ship to India or international but the owner Maxine was too good to deal with and offered me a box for review.
Informative Cards – The Buddhibox included an info card, a recipe, and a yoga pose. These cards are nice. The recipe card featured the Vegetarian Taco Salad recipe and there is a great quote on the H20 informative card – Love is the bridge between you and everything – Rumi. The recipe is very simple and quick to try. These are great to collect. The yoga card was all about practicing the Wheel/Upward Bow Pose. It’s a back bend pose for advanced skill levels.
Soul Sparks Bracelet – $4 Value – The bracelet is adjustable and will remind you about your commitments and goals. The colour of the bracelet I received is yellow. This bracelet gives me so much positive energy. It is named as Karma and denotes a circle which means what goes around comes around. We have to think good thoughts, say good words and do good deeds in our life. Subscribers have got different colours.
Chuao Chocolatier ChocoPods – $1 Value Each – This sweet mini chocolate bar is a little treat because we deserve it. These bars of chocolate feels indulgent and rich. I’m happy to see these yummy handcrafted chocolates in the box. My favorite one is the potato chip. I am not a big fan of spicy maya which has a noticeable hot spicy cinnamon flavour to the pure dark cacao. These chocolates are unique and organic. I want more of potato chip.
Shiva Prayer Scarf – $20 Value – The shawl/ scarf I got is in a purple color featuring a fun spiritual design. Subscribers have got different colours. The scarf feels very silky and soft. Direct from Shiva Arts in India, our Om Prayer Scarves are made from a fine rayon and viscose fabric. Printed with Om symbol and scroll letters, you can wear them as an accessory or in mediation. I was really proud to see an Indian product in a foreign box.
House of Good Juju Aura Cleansing Tea Light – $2.5 Value
This small soy tea light candle has a citrus scent and has crystals. It is made with lavender, cypress, lemongrass, grapefruit, cedar and rosemary essential oils. The information card says to use this candle to restore your aura’s balance, harmony and regeneration. It helps me to relax and de-stress. I enjoyed the smell.
Kiss My Honey Organic Lip Balm – $4 Value – Organic, natural, paragon and chemical free, this lip balm is infused with yummy chocolate oil, vitamin E, and organic coconut oil to soothe and hydrate. This is a non tinted lip balm. It is not just a lip balm but choco lip balm! Yummy! It smells good too.
Chakra Love Crystal Tailsman -$22 Value – Subscribers will receive different stones. I got Solar Plexus Chakra in Tiger Eye – brown toned in oval shape. Stimulates vitality, joy and will power. Creates self-definition. It is a powerful handcrafted necklace with a leather chord. The design is sacred and healing. My favourite item from the box.
The February Buddhibox contained seven items including all the cards. Buddhibox also offers a smaller box for $11.95/month which includes 2-3 product samples and coupons. Buddhibox ships via USPS on the 10th of the month.
If you are a spiritual person, you will love this box. The products in it are designed to help you get in touch with your inner buddha. Buddhibox features a special charity each month. For the February month, the charity was “Love + Breath” which is a non profit organization that offers yoga to advance the health and well being of special populations. There is a lot of variety in this box and curation is superb. I will definitely use all these items.
Total Value of this box is $54.50 which is a great value for a box that sells monthly for $30 + Shipping. I am satisfied with this box and I am really happy. I wish they start shipping to International destinations soon. Everyone gets same goodies but in different options which makes the experience not boring. The box focuses on healthy living. You can visit the website here or subscribe to the boxes or shop for individual items.
