Camelot Resorts Munnar!

Hello All,

Camelot is one of the best resorts in Munnar. Camelot Resorts Munnar offers refined rooms with a cozy restaurant & an organic farm. The resort itself has a viewpoint and echo point. The rooms come with a balcony from where you can watch the terrains and mountains.

The resort is spread around in 17 acres, out of which almost half is still left untouched. The resort is 15 mins from the city and 2-3km from Letchmi Estate.

The resort is surrounded by flora and fauna. We spotted cute woodpeckers but unfortunately could not photograph.

Rooms were simple, spacious and clean. There are 3 categories of rooms – super luxury, luxury, deluxe rooms. We got a free upgrade to luxury from deluxe. Each suite consists of a bedroom with an attached bathroom and balcony. The amenities include Parking Zone, Smoking Area, TV with Tata Sky Connection, Coffee maker and Intercom. Deluxe rooms cost 8000 per night and Luxury rooms cost 10-12k per night.

Extra Beds are offered for Rs 750/-

There is a recreational indoor stadium consisting of a mini library, ping pong tables, carom boards, chess, etc. within the resort.

There is an in-house restaurant called Nilavu which serves Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Tea/Coffee, Snacks and Desserts upon request. We got a free buffet breakfast with our package. We had to pay for other food items. Food is very expensive here. They do charge a hefty amount unlike any other resort out there. The food tasted really nice and homely. I wish they had a menu card with prices mentioned therein.

Campfire is available and you have to pay Rs 2000/- extra to avail this facility. All the staffs are cooperative and courteous. Their service is great. The Camelot manager took us for a walk through the resort.

The ambiance is pleasant and awesome. Camelot is a wonderful place for family outings or corporate meetings. There are small benches in the garden area for you to unwind. The weather was too chilly.

The reason why I liked Camelot the most is that it is away from the hustle-bustle of the busy city. Camelot is really peaceful and provides a soothing experience. It also gave me a perfect break from the mundane routine life. Also, it was an adventure to drive up to and reach the resort from the town. Our car got punctured but luckily we had a spare.

This is a place where there is No Dust/Pollution, No Honking Traffic, No Network but only nature in its purest form. I woke up with the sounds of birds. This is a unique experience which I haven’t found elsewhere. I could breathe fresh air.

The owners also reside inside the resort and they have a pet dog named Camy. The owners were friendly but I do feel they are a little money minded. The package was sold to us by their marketing officer at cochin for Rs 8000 per room including tax, extra bed and they told us only food expenses will be charged extra. We had booked two rooms but upon checkout, they charged us 750 extra for each bed which was never conveyed to us earlier. We didn’t use that extra bed either. There was a miscommunication regarding this and they were arguing with us and not ready to accept their fault. It is not a big deal and they could have sorted out this in a better way to avoid a bitter experience.

Apart from this, I really enjoyed my stay at Camelot Munnar and will surely love to come back any day. I recommend this luxury resort to all nature lovers. The stay was comfortable and filled with memories. The hospitality was satisfactory. Thanks to teaming Camelot !!

Honestly, the resort is a class on its own with tea gardens, view of the highest peak of south Anamudi, misty mountains and full greenery.
